🔍 Product Description
Spinal Fixation System
Introduction:
The intervertebral fusion cage is a large, hollow cylinder made of high-quality metal, usually titanium. It is designed as a "cage" so that bone graft can be placed inside the hollow cylinder to allow a spinal fusion to occur between two vertebrae. The holes throughout the cage allow bone to form around and through the device, connecting the vertebrae with solid bone.
Advanced intervertebral fusion cages are designed for both open incisions and laparoscopic procedures. The laparoscopic approach uses smaller incisions and specialized equipment to minimize tissue damage and speed up recovery time.
The system serves to spread the vertebrae apart, enlarging the nerve root openings and tightening ligaments to decrease segmental instability. This effectively reduces mechanical pain while holding the vertebrae in the correct position until fusion is complete.
Our 5.5/6.0 screw-rod system for spinal internal fixation features double or single thread options. It is a mature implant system available in both sterile and non-sterile packaging.
